EXTRAS
  • Free appliance measuring service is available. ridges and freezers to loan are available, stock permitting to customers only, whilst waiting for purchased appliance to arrive.
  • We now service and repair Sebo vacuums. We you need a service or repair on another make of vacuum please ring first. The basic service costs £15, any parts, bags, filters etc are extra.


DELIVERY

  • Free delivery applies the the East Lancashire area within a 20 mile radius of Blackburn, and to purchases valued at over £80. Deliveries outside of this area are usually chargeable depending on the goods ordered. Please contact us for more details.

  • Delivery for items under £80 cost £5 within 10 miles or can be posted at cost anywhere. Spare parts can also be posted out at cost to a customer at a cost.

  • Please make sure our delivery men have clear and safe access. Tell us in advance if the delivery involves stairs or cellars. We have no problem delivering to flats. Please inform us of any parking problems.

  • Free removal of old appliances applies to disconnected, non-refrigeration items within the local area only. Most local councils remove refrigeration items free OR FOR A SMALL charge.
  • Same day delivery applies to stock items within local area, ordered before 11am, schedule permitting. Items can be collected from our shop if this is easier for the customer. WE ARE NOW REMOVING REFRIGERATION AT A CHARGE.

  • Leave refrigeration appliances to stand for at least a few hours before plugging in, failure to do this can cause problems with the compressor.


  • FITTING
    Free fitting applies to free-standing non-gas appliances only, and some built-in electric ovens (when replacing existing
    appliances to suitable connections). Free fitting is to suitable existing connections only.

  • Gas fittings can be arranged with a Gas Safe plumber in the local area (payment to fitter on delivery). Please check that your kitchen meets Corgi requirements for gas fittings, especially on hobs and high-level cookers. Please ask our staff if you have any queries on this matter.   

  • Built-in appliances can be arranged with a kitchen fitter in the local area (payment to fitter on delivery).
    Please check your measurements before ordering. Freestanding gas ovens and built-in gas hobs need a gap of 4cm clearance around the hobs.
  • High-level gas ovens need 10cm clearance around the grill, with nothing above the grill.

  • A measuring service is available in the local area.

  • Toplex will not be held liable for any work needed to ensure pipe work, gas, electrical supplies etc, meet with current
    requirements. we fit to suitable connections only.


ORDERING

  • If ordering something you have seen on this website please check stock first, and tell us that you are buying from our website in case of price differences.

  • Items can be ordered from most major manufacturers. Delivery is usually within the week subject to suppliers stock availability.

  • If you cannot see the appliance you want email us, we have many more appliances and can order most anything (see links for supported manufacturers).

  • Seen what you want elsewhere? contact us we will usually price match like for like on models and service.

  • Items can be secured for a deposit.

  • Quotes- quotes given are subject to change usually on a monthly basis.


SPARES

  • To purchase spare parts we ALWAYS need the make and model (and serial number occasionally) even for vacuum bags. We cannot supply Vax, Proline or Dimplomat parts, or parts for chain store own brands.

  • Parts cannot be returned unless faulty (this will be checked before a refund is given), be sure this is the correct part you need to repair your appliance. we presume that if you order a part you know how to fit it.

  • Parts for models under 2yrs and over 10yrs can often only be purchase direct from the manufacturer.

  • Parts have to be ordered and usually take 5-7 days. Parts must be paid for on order in full.


SERVICE

  • Guarantees are with the manufacturer, any problems with an appliance and we will arrange to have the manufacturer's engineer callout, this usually is within 3-5 working days, but is at the manufacturers convenience.

  • We cannot service appliances ourselves excepting Sebo vacuum cleaners (out of guarantee). Outside of guarantee we can recommend local engineers. We cannot service any machines whilst the guarantee is active, as this would invalidate the manufacturers guarantee.

  • We endeavour to give you our best service and attention at all times.

  • Any appliances cancelled or returned without identified fault may be subject to an administration charge. Item that have been fitted or used cannot be returned without manufacturers authority.

  • Please note we will not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour towards our staff.

  • Items sold as cash on delivery, MUST be paid for on delivery.

  • Please remember to check the fuse on the appliances plug and your instruction book, before requesting an engineer.
    Please remember to check filters on dryers, washers and vacuums before requesting an engineer. Most manufacturers will charge, even under guarantee if there is no fault or if the fault is down to misuse.


APPLIANCE CARE

  • Don't forget to change the filters on vacuum cleaners, failure to do so can damage the motor and reduce suction.
  • Change cooker hood filters regularly.

  • Check the filter on your washer (where possible) at least twice a year, check the drain of your fridge-freezer regularly. Try to avoid coins, loose buttons etc getting into the washer, or food blocking the drain on refrigeration.

  • Check the tumble and condenser dryer filters every time you use them. Check condenser units on condenser dryers regularly.

  • Never put hot food in a fridge or freezer.
